General description
AV100 is an integrated digital camera processor with SD interface, which supports up to 3 Mega Pixel CMOS/CCD sensors. AV100 is equipped with Turbo 8051, high quality JPEG compression and decompression engine, MPEG1 encoder, secure Digital-SDIO (SPI, 1 bit /4 bits) controller and a ViCE 48 MIPS RISC. The compressed video bit streams generated by AV100 are to be read and packed by a controller for storage or transmission. It also provides up to 32 MB of Nand flash interface. The ASIC has a large set of registers for setting parameters such as video format, bit rate, Huffman table, input/output timing, image process and etc. The ASIC is intended to serve as interface for a variety of popular sensors, SDRAM, NAND Flash or Parallel Flash, and SDIO host. AV100 offers high value and performance camera designs due to its flexible architecture that supports a wide range of PDA, cell phone and SD interface image devices.
